on a Wilderness Exercise/hike to the Carbondale Lookout. Great view.

Meet 10:15 at the junction of the O'Hagan/Castle Falls Rd and Hwy 774(Road to ski hill). Coordinates N 49deg 23.642', W 114deg 20.284'. We'll drive to locked access gate at junction of Castle Falls and O'Hagan Rd. Park there. Walk approx. 2km(nice flat) to the base of the Lookout Road. Lookout Road is 3.5km long and gains 460m elevation to the lookout at 1800m. Lookout "may" be manned but likely not. Great view. Bring a lunch, water, we'll watch the weather forecast. Total hike will be about a 11km round trip.
