New page

Here's the information you will need for the first weekend of the
course.

John, as I haven't received contact details for the people you
forwarded, I'm relying on you to pass on this information to:
Jamie Fox, Ivan Healey, Leon Youngpine, Terrance Bottle, Brett Healy,
and Lawrence Mistakenchief.

We meet at 18:00 (6 pm) - 21:30 (9:30 pm) at the MD Meeting room.
All students are expected to be on time.

The MD Meeting Room is in the basement of the MD Building (753 Kettles
Street, Pincher Creek).

From Highway 3, Turn south onto Highway 6 at Pincher Station. Continue
straight south into Pincher Creek. Go straight through the roundabout
(traffic circle). As you come out of the roundabout (south) this is
Hewetson Ave. Continue straight, descending a hill, crossing a bridge,
and coming to a 4-way stop. Turn left (east on Main Street). Continue
straight to the next 4-way stop (at the 7-11). Turn right (south on
Police Ave), and right again (west on Kettles Street). The MD Building
is the first building on the right (north). You can access the meeting
room from the side (east) entrance.

Saturday and Sunday are from 09:00 (9 am) to 17:00 (5 pm). Lunches
are provided.

During the weekend, if you are unable to attend or have problems,
leave a message on .... Prior or between course weekends
e-mail wuth@acm.org or call 403 627-2460.

Bring clothes so that you can be both outside in the weather for up to
4 and a half hours and at other times inside a classroom. The best
approach is to use layers that you can put on and take off. Make sure
you bring enough to keep yourself warm.

Both the trainers and the students are members of various emergency
organizations. Either may be called away to respond to an
emergency. For instance, during the 2010 course we were called to an
avalanche. If such a situation arises we may suspend portions of this
training and reschedule them.

Further details at:

See you this Friday!
