April is shoulder season again, and it's hard to know what the weather will do.
But it's also a great time for introductions and trying something new.
Saturday April 21 we'll have a series of short exercises at Beauvais Lake (location to be confirmed),
each lasting an hour or less. Come for as long as you want; leave when you want.
Depending on the weather there's any snow on the ground,
we can cover some trail exploration, simple navigation, man tracking,
first aid practice, etc.
With snow, we can offer
introduction to snowshoeing,
avalanche transceiver (beacon) practice, snow slope self arrest, etc.
Friends, Family, members of the public, other SAR groups all welcome.
Meet at the Pincher Creek Fire Hall at 09:30 or at Beauvais Lake's Beaver Creek Day Use parking lot at 10:00.
Leave when you want to; everything wrapped up by 16:00 (4pm).
