This Tuesday's training (October 2) is a mock search. We'll be
searching in town and just outside of town (urban fringe) so bring
your ready pack and be prepared for whatever weather we may have.
Meet outside the fire hall at 18:30. We'll be all done by 22:00.
Remember you need to attend two mock searches (or real searches) a year to maintain your SAR Fundamentals certification, so please do come out. Members of other SAR groups are most welcome.
Part of the exercise will be urban search - searching yards and maybe garages. If you or your friends would be willing to have your place included in the search, to give people practice, please contact me with the address in town. Depending on the direction the search goes, not all places may be searched, but if the place is included in the search area, you'll be given a ribbon to tie on your door handle. Searchers will knock on these doors and ask for permission to search the yard (not inside the house). Some residences will be given special clues as part of the story.
We need a mock subject (adult). If you or someone you know is willing to volunteer, please let me know. E-mail wuth@acm.org or call me at 627-2460.
