2004-10-26 MedicalPreplanCommittee finds:

There was a general discussion on the organization's state of preparedness to perform first aid procedures. It was felt that there is insufficient, ongoing training, as well as a problem with members whose certification has lapsed.

• Recommendation to Board (training/membership):
  • That PCSAR maintain a record of members' first aid certification.
  • That PCSAR remind members to take first aid recertification when required.

• Recommendation to Board (training):
  • That PCSAR provide more first aid recertification training opportunities. That PCSAR more regularly provide training in first aid scenarios at regular training meetings.
