The objectives of the society are:

1. To provide through trained volunteers, quality ground search and rescue operations for the Town of Pincher Creek and surrounding area and to provide search and rescue support to other search and rescue efforts.
2. To train and equip Members for efficient ground search and rescue operations.
3. To liais with other organizations to ensure effective search and rescue operations.
4. To educate the public about the prevention of incidents requiring ground search and rescue operations, and to instruct survival techniques.
5. To sell, manage, lease, mortgage, dispose of, or otherwise deal with property of the society.
6. To provide all necessary equipment and furniture for carrying on its various objectives.
7. To provide a meeting place for the consideration and discussion of questions affecting the interest of the community.
8. To provide for the recreation of the members and to promote and afford opportunity for friendly and social activities.
9. To acquire lands, by purchase or otherwise erect or otherwise provide a building or building for social and community purposes.
