Check Out

  • Test hand held radios

After Incident

  • recharge all handheld radio batteries
    • batteries can be charged separately or while attached to handheld
    • handhelds must be turned off
    • place new radios/batteries in round holders
    • place old radios/batteries in square holders
    • light should be red
    • flashing red means problem
    • light is solid green (not flashing) when completely charged
    • recharge takes about 3? hours
      • (type 2 & 3 batteries: 1 hour)
  • Test equipment
    • should we test equipment before returning it into service?
    • note any problems and report to Equipment Manager


Routine Maintenance

? What things should be done regularly, e.g. once a month?

The radio batteries need to be recharged regularly. They loose approximately 2% of their charge every day.

How to Use

  • To put the HT750 on Scan, push the button above the transmit button. To take it off scan, push it again.
  • To put the MT1000 on Scan, push the toggle towards the antenna.
