Description |
A person with skills to advise on safe entry into risky avalanche terrain. The person would be deployed on-scene during operations localized to one area (rescue), or would be consulted (perhaps by phone or at the command post) during broader operations (search).
Could be a non-sledder. Minimum of a Tech 1, but preferably a Forecaster (level 2). Preferably a 'working' Tech who is ou daily in the snow and will have a better idea of what's actually happening. |

Need 1 on-scene (rescue) for 1 op period or 1 off-scene (search) for 2 op periods. Assume 50% availability, requires a roster of 4. |
