• modernize pulleys
• analysis of number of pulleys
  • high redirect at edge + change of direction at anchor + 9:1 = 5 regular + 1 PMP
  • double for mirrored system: 10 regular + 2 PMP
  • have 2 PMP already
  • need 5 for converting over to modern pulleys
  • need 5 more for mirrored system
• minimum 2" sheave diameter to avoid damage to rope sheath on 2-person load
• minimum MBS: 40 kN
  • for counter balance
• prefer sealed bearings for dirty industrial environments
• optionally could be prusik minding pulleys but may not want to trade for weight and size
  • compare
• 5 single sheave 2" pulleys @ US$60 : ~CAD$430
