Work to do in preparation for course

(generic to do list)

  • develop case studies (Komlodi, Koopmans)
  • contingency plan for SAR being called out during course
  • queue powerpoint presentations
  • configure to play videos from laptop
  • arrange snacks and/or lunches - Fraser
  • organize mock search - Eric


  • arrange for and prepare the aids (support material) for each section
    • handouts for each section
  • stretcher, webbing for lashing, carry


  • update this generic list from the course's list
    • publish deadline for registration 1 week before 1st weekend
    • schedule first weekend at least 1 week after regular training night in month to allow last minute registrations
  • need short filler material (approx 15 min each) when get through material ahead of time
    • consider anecdotes
    • consider short presentation on material not normally included
  • incorporate being on time as part of the training
  • record certificates in database
  • note updates to make for next year
    • Eve 4 is light on material
    • Survival section is both assigned reading and lecture
