Members learned what to do in case they come upon a bear while during a search. They learned the difference between a black and a grizzly as these are the two common bears in southern Alberta. There was also talk about cougars and how to react to them if seen on a search. The main part of this meeting was how not to get into a situation with one of these animals, other parts included how to use bear spray, and what to do in an attack.
