Saturday July 16 our Wilderness Exercise will be to hike the Carthew Alderson Trail in Waterton Park from Cameron Lake to the Waterton Townsite. Distance in 20 km, height gain 2100 feet, followed by a descent of 3300 feet. Along the way, we'll discuss common first aid considerations in an alpine environment.

Meet at the Pincher Creek Fire Hall at 09:00 to carpool. Or meet at the Tamarack Outdoor Outfitters at 09:45 in Waterton.

Either way, you need to book in advance a seat on the 10:00 shuttle bus leaving the Tamarack Outdoor Outfitters (townsite) to the Carthew Alderson trailhead. Tickets are free. See http://www.akaminahikershuttle.com/book-a-seat.html
