[edit] Release

A rope rescue team works with other emergency responders to help rescue people from steep or mountainous terrain, from vehicles that have gone off bridges or high banks, and from industrial structures. The Pincher Creek Joint Rope Rescue team combines resources from Pincher Creek Emergency Services and Pincher Creek Search and Rescue.

This team is looking to recruit and train new members. If you are interested to see what we do, the public is invited to a demonstration between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Search and Rescue Day, Saturday May 4, the lead into Emergency Preparedness Week. We'll be located beside the Pincher Creek Fire Hall and working off the Hewetson Avenue Bridge. Come check it out and chat with our members.

You can also see these and other organizations at the end of Emergency Preparedness Week activities, Friday May 10 beside the Provincial Building.

For further information, contact Brett Wuth at 627-2460 or wuth@acm.org.
