  • One ICS 214 per activated function per op period.
  • Only one ICS 214 needs to be done within the function.

You're free to each do separate ICS 214s, but only one is required.

If you do maintain more than one ICS 214, you should be sharing them with each other so you're aware of major activities.


Major Events should include:

  • the date/time the function was first activated.
  • the date/time the function was demobilized.
  • the dates/times responsibility for the function was handed off to another person.
  • the dates/times major activities were completed, including issuing of documents
  • any significant decisions made by the function
  • any significant direction provided to you (unless recorded elsewhere)
