[edit] First Aid analysis

  • We average about 55 members
  • Every member should maintain at least standard first aid
  • First aid requires recertification every 3 years
  • on average each year 18 members need to recertify
  • about 30% will receive certification through some other means
  • that leaves about 12 members looking for certification through PCSAR
  • on average, we get funded for 12 students of WFA every 3 years
  • that's the equivalent of 4 students every year
  • on average, 8 members need recertification each year on non-funded courses
  • a standard first aid course is about $140 (GST included)
  • we would budget about $1200 / year to pay for members standard first aid
  • first year of program would be higher uptake - budget $2000
