Pincher Creek SAR is running a Search Manager Recertification Course
partially funded through a provincial training grant. The course has
been rescheduled for Easter weekend (!) on Saturday-Sunday April 7-8,
2012.
The course is composed of reviewing old materials as well as introducing new materials that has surfaced. There will be a review of the ICS related to search managers and map exercises etc.
All interested participants must have their $50.00 deposit in no later than April 5, 2012. Deposits will be refunded to students who complete the course. There is a course limit. The course will fill on a first come first serve basis.
Lunches will be provided. Other meals and accommodation are the responsibility of the student. If you are interested in billeting, contact the course coordinator. Only partial funding has been received from the province. Partial mileage can be paid assuming a reasonable level of car-pooling.
Students should bring any material they have collected from their previous search manager training. As well, they should bring any kits, materials, reference lists and information that they use to support their themselves and their team when managing a search, or as part of an overhead team (Incident Management Team).
Prerequisites: previous Search Manager certification.

Pincher SAR has a group discount set up at the Ramada. This is where the instructor will be. $119.99+tax=$134.71/night (regular $157.17). Continental breakfast, water slide, and hot tub included.
