Webbing
Webbing should be cut to standardized lengths and colour coded by length.
From the PEP Team Member Manual, page 3-10:
- 3m - blue
- 5m - red
- 10m - yellow (but we substitute green if yellow not available)
Each piece of webbing should have its length marked at both ends. Typically on the side without the traces. E.g. "3M".
One end should be marked "PINCHER SAR" followed by a unique number. Typically on the side with the traces, "PINCHER" above the line and "SAR ##" below.
- highest numbered webbing: Pincher SAR 32
The year of manufacture (or if unknown the earliest known year of history) should be marked on one end. The description of the webbing should be added below.
- odd red lengths
- odd blue lengths
- 1.5m green lengths
- 3m blue lengths
- 5m red lengths
- 7m black lengths
- 10m green lengths
40m blue, 3 silver traces for chest harness loops
- order
- webbing is 2 pieces spliced (melted) together with paper tape covering splice. Because we intend to cut into several small pieces, we can work around.
