- modernize pulleys
- analysis of number of pulleys
- high redirect at edge + change of direction at anchor + 9:1 = 5 regular + 1 PMP
- double for mirrored system: 10 regular + 2 PMP
- have 2 PMP already
- need 5 for converting over to modern pulleys
- need 5 more for mirrored system
- minimum 2" sheave diameter to avoid damage to rope sheath on 2-person load
- minimum MBS: 40 kN
- for counter balance
- prefer sealed bearings for dirty industrial environments
- optionally could be prusik minding pulleys but may not want to trade for weight and size
- 5 single sheave 2" pulleys @ US$60 : ~CAD$430
