Pincher Creek Search and Rescue is having a mock search as part of its SAR Fundamentals training for new members.

Regular members of PCSAR and neighbouring groups are encouraged to come out to practice and maintain their SAR skills and to help new students learn. We want to mix more experienced members with new students to transfer skills.

Booking

Event location, date, time and duration.

The mock search is from 18:30 to 22:00 Saturday evening March 3.

Meet at the Incident Command Post at the Old Man Dam lookout on the south side and below the dam.

On highway 3 at east side of Munsel's Crossing (the railway overpass), proceed west then north along Township Road 7-1A (which becomes Range Road 29-3) for 2 km. Before the road proceeds down into the river valley, take the left (west) at the top of the hill onto a road signed for the lookout. Proceed west 2.3 km to the lookout and Incident Command Post.
