Shell is having a mock exercise of their response to an H2S incident. It will include a role for SAR. We don't know what exactly we'll be asked to do, but it could include search in a wilderness/agricultural area, assisting with door knocking, perhaps road blocks and maybe even spotting from helicopter.

The exercise is described as a "blind" exercise. The Shell employees won't know what day it will be happening. All they know is it is a business day in the next 2 weeks.

They've told us what the date is, but they've asked us to keep it confidential. We can't let any others know. So if you're interested in participating, and think you'd be available during a week day in the next 2 weeks, let Brett Wuth know and I'll confirm the actual date with you.

We'll meet at the firehall at 08:30. We'll be done by 14:00. Lunch will be provided.
