OperatingProfilesTask:

Resulting from last meeting's discussions, Brett distributed "operating profile" documents for Snowmobile and Traffic Control. The points were discussed in detail. The value of such operating profile documents was agreed. We will try to do a new one each meeting preparing for the likely activities in the season ahead.

Suggestion #1: develop strategy for future radio compatibility
Committee handling: preplan
Value to PCSAR mandate: medium

The Alberta Government is planning a digital UHF network to include all emergency services including SAR.

SEASAR, LASARA are using HAM radios.

We should develop a radio strategy that will guide future radio purchases, licensing and training.

Can we use multi-type radios that can be used on both Amateur and Commercial channels?
