New board members should be provided with an orientation package.
The package includes:
- our bylaws
- our policies
- the minutes from the last 3 board meetings
- the most recent financial statements
- the most recent year-end financial statements
- the current budget
Some people are not comfortable or prefer not to read things on the computer. These people should be given printed copies of the above documents. Other people prefer to work with documents on the computer. These people can be given the address of this page.
3 months later the recipient of this package should be approached to see how it could be improved based on their experience as a new board member.
