The Red Cross
basic level of Wilderness & Remote First Aid & CPR is for individuals who recreate or live in isolated or wilderness settings and need to respond to emergencies when advanced care is not immediately available. The course covers material in Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR plus special material on techniques for wilderness and remote areas as well as offers strategies to provide extended care for up to 24 hours.

This course is funded by an Alberta Government grant,
with additional costs being underwritten by PCSAR.

Seating is limited.
Students who register but do not attend or do not complete the course
restrict participation and funding for other students who would have
completed the course.
A $50 deposit is required to hold a seat.
The deposit will be refunded if the student completes the course.

Deposits made out to "Pincher Creek Search and Rescue"
may be:

The student is responsible for travel, and
accommodation.

(e.g. not commuting back to Lethbridge), there are a number of hotels,
motels, and bed and breakfast options.
