Create a binder that can be used during an operation to find and request specific resources.

Resources can be equipment, supplies or people with specific skills.

  • Have a section for resources
  • each resource is on a separate page and lists possible suppliers, in order of preference
  • Have a section for suppliers
  • each supplier is on a separate page and lists:
    • The various resources they have, and approximate quantity that might be available.
    • Emergency, 24 hour phone contacts.
    • Administrative contact (phone, mail, e-mail).
    • Reference to any formal agreement that may be in place between the supplier and PCSAR.

[edit] Strategy

Use a meeting night to get members to populate the data. Basically give everyone a form and let them choose a type of resource to write down where we can get some of those resources and what other resources would also be needed.

  • Locate (non-member) suppliers for resources
  • consider doing at a general meeting

  • recommend if formal agreement is necessary
  • Specific resources/suppliers to be included:
    • MD of Pincher Creek for custom maps
    • Roy Davidson's information of BC/Flathead resources
    • Automatically generate index from personnel records
  • build binders
  • place in fire hall and SARCAR
  • maintain information

Brett Wuth, 2005/02/21 22:45 MST (via web): Brett presented a request from Disaster Services to be involved in the Resource List that is being updated by PCSAR. Disaster Services requirements are likely to expand the project by only 10%. Upon discussion it was agreed to make the Resource List available to Disaster Services and to incorporate their needs as long as they remain modest.
