Quiz rules

  • each round, each table gets to answer a question
  • before they get the question they get to know the randomly chosen category
  • they can decide the number of points to bet, between 1 and 3, winning or losing those points
  • they have 30 seconds to answer
  • if they get it wrong, the next table can pass or answer the same question, winning or losing the same points
  • quiz ends after 30 minutes
  • each table gets a special power that they only have
    • one table can prevent a single person from another table from speaking that round, or steal a point if they do
    • one table can cause a category to be chosen again for any table once a round
    • one table can change the bet by one point for any other table before the quizmaster gives the answer
    • one table once a round can decide which table (other than themselves) will answer any question being read. The original table will still get another question
  • The power is chosen first by the table with the fewest players. Tables with the same number of players compete for powers based on first to answer
