What is "continuity of evidence"?

The continuity of the handling of the evidence from when it was first found until it is presented in court.


What are the two types of evidence?

  • Physical evidence - tangible object
  • Incorporeal


Why is documentation so important in a search?

Documentation is very important as it can provide a clear sequence of events and help preserve clues and evidence.


What methods/tools are useful to document activities, evidence or clues?

  • sketches
  • more than one witness to document the situation
