The 2012-09-04 regular training was practicing with our stretchers. The group as a whole recommended some changes to our equipment:

  • We need a wheel to support the Ferno polyethylene stretchers (or arrangements to be able to take the fire hall's version)
  • The main Ferno stretcher needs a tarp. The tarps for the other stretchers are too large to be workable for a burito wrap
  • Each stretcher needs some light cord to stitch a burito wrap.
  • The main Ferno stretcher needs a 7m webbing for an improvised harness. (Brett can arrange this.)
  • Each stretcher needs a toque for patient comfort.
