[edit] Planning of regular meetings

A tentative schedule for our regular training nights is drawn from:

[edit] Typical year

Each year we typically run similar training at the same time of the year. Something like the following (but check the Calendar for this year's schedule):

  • January -
  • February - avalanche orientation
  • March -
  • April - Equipment orientation. The location and operation of the equipment in the possession of PCSAR. Proper transport, set up and protocols and procedures for equipment use
  • May - Rope and Knot exercise
  • June - GPS exercise
  • July - mid-month training replaced by a barbeque.
  • August - outdoor training
  • September - indoor training
  • October - Mock search.
  • November - Annual General Meeting replaces training at regular meeting.
  • December - indoor training as weather is unpredictable
