Saturday August 15 will be another in our SAR hike series. This time to Barnaby Lakes (Southfork Lakes), which are beautiful high mountain lakes near old growth forest.
One river crossing. 2300 feet elevation gain. This hike is rated hard.
Meet at 08:00 at the Pincher Creek fire hall. If you instead wish to meet closer to Barnaby Ridge, please make arrangement with Brett Wuth (wuth@acm.org, +1-403-627-2460) as the trailhead is not obvious. Anticipate returning to town around 17:00.
We offer these hikes to familiarize members with the area, to practice their terrain skills, and develop their conditioning. Hike goes ahead rain or shine.
