Description
Typically we have a 1.5 to 2.5 hour "regular" training session on the first Tuesday of each month starting at 19:00 at the fire hall.
Each year in December, we plan the schedule for the following 12 months. Have schedule always at least 6 months out.

A tentative schedule for our regular training nights is drawn from:
- past years
- this year's calendar
- the typical year shown below
- Training ideas
- Training suggestions
- Other ideas might come from the SAR Fundamentals course

Each year we typically run similar training at the same time of the year. Something like the following (but check the Calendar for this year's schedule):
- January -
- February - avalanche orientation
- March -
- April - Equipment orientation. The location and operation of the equipment in the possession of PCSAR. Proper transport, set up and protocols and procedures for equipment use
- May - Rope and Knot exercise
- June - GPS exercise
- July - mid-month training replaced by a barbeque.
- August - outdoor training
- September - indoor training
- October - Mock search.
- November - Annual General Meeting replaces training at regular meeting.
- December - indoor training as weather is unpredictable
